The developer community hosted the Esri European Developer Summit this year in Berlin, German. The Developer Summit is an event, for developers by developers, designed to show users how to build cutting-edge applications using advanced mapping technology. Here attendees are able to follow hundreds of hours of training in one place, along with workshops and technical sessions for users to learn the best development practices, directly from GIS experts.
This year our team had the honor of representing GeoMarvel at this year’s summit. While this was our first Developers Summit, it was our first European Summit. With over 95 working sessions and presentations to attend, there was plenty for the team to consume. Some of the topics discussed at this year’s event revolved around: 3D in GIS, web apps, maps and components, ArcGIS Runtime SDKs, Python Script, Geodatabase, Real-Time GIS, Imagery and Raster, Spatial Analysis and Data Science, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
The Esri European Developers Summit is not only an amazing learning experience, but it’s a great way to connect and share your accomplishments with other professionals alike. It’s always great when the team is able to visit other parts of the world, while interacting and observing other business professionals that are also pushing GIS forward.
