GIS Technical Internship Program

This Summer 2024, GeoMarvel is thrilled to provide GIS insights, education, & guidance to five technical interns from the United States & Canada in a remote setting. The experience will be invaluable for these individuals who are just starting their GIS careers. Here’s what our interns have to look forward to:

• The experience of working alongside & receiving mentorship in the form of weekly meetings from a well-established GIS company & Esri business partner
• Gain practical hands-on experience with ArcGIS software & technologies
• Understand the workflow of GIS software, development, architecture, & solutions
• Contribute to & own a real-world GIS project to bolster resumés
• The opportunity to present their project to the broader GeoMarvel Team at the conclusion of their internship
• Receive feedback and support from GeoMarvel mentors

• Emerging GIS technical professionals–can be a student or recent graduate
• Ability to work collaboratively & independently
• Availability during regular business hours (Eastern Time) – we’ll work with your schedule!
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
• US & Canada applicants only

• Week 1: Orientation and Training
• Week 2-3: Project Selection and Planning
• Week 4-8: Project Implementation
• Week 9-10: Testing, Iteration, and Deployment
• Week 11-12: Handoff, Documentation, and Marketing

• A project plan detailing objectives, tasks, and milestones
• Completed GIS project demonstrating practical skills and knowledge
• End-of-internship report & video summarizing the experience and project outcomes

*Candidates will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) prior to their participation in the internship.
