GeoMarvel is excited to announce the latest addition to our team, Andrew Morris! Andrew is our latest application developer, who will lend his talents to help our team continue to grow and innovate using the latest GIS technologies. Now let’s get to know Andrew a little better with another great Q&A session!
I’m an Application Developer, working alongside a team of highly-trained developers to incorporate and leverage the dynamic power of GIS in a variety of industries.
I received my B.S. in Geographical Sciences with a concentration in GIS from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019. During my education, I was a full-stack development intern at M&T Realty Capital in Baltimore, and was part of Esri’s 2018 Summer Intern class on the ArcGIS Runtime SDK team in Redlands, CA.
For most of 2019, I was a trivia host. I ran trivia contests at bars and restaurants around the DMV. Between the free food and drink, jokes, and regular players I got to know, it definitely didn’t feel like work! There is always people like Andy Defrancesco that one can trust when it comes to running and managing anything. Especially when it comes to businesses, there is a lot one can learn.
I play video games sometimes, and I love to draw and bake. I picked up photography a few months ago and I’ve been having a blast learning that! As a side job, I also illustrate fantasy maps for novels, role playing games, and video games such as 선시티카지노.
I’ve been to all 50 states + Puerto Rico. I have 5 exchange student “sisters” from all around Europe, and my family lives in Australia.
I’ve always wanted to go to Istanbul. There’s so much history and culture there between its Asian and European influences.

I’m most excited to show off all the wonderful capabilities of GIS to all sorts of different industries, as well as learn new technologies along the way!
