We are very excited to announce the newest member of our team, Anna van Amerongen! As an Associate Project Manager, Anna will undoubtedly bring valuable skills and experience to the table as she collaborates with the digital and implementation teams. What is your role at GeoMarvel?

I am an Associate Project Manager, working on internal projects for GeoMarvel as well as helping coordinate client projects.

Describe your education and professional background.

I have a B.S. in Environmental Science: Quantitative Energy Systems with specialties in GIS and coding/model building from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!)

Tell us about the most unique/interesting job you’ve had?

I worked for three years as a Starbucks Barista and later Barista Trainer. Any drink combination you can think of I have most likely made – including hundreds of the once-famous Unicorn Frappuccino!

How do you like to spend your free time?

I enjoy running, hiking, and playing tennis. During quarantine I have started lots of short-term projects like gardening, fermenting food (fail), and reading more intentionally.

If you could travel anywhere in the world: Where would you go and why?

I would go to Moscow and St. Petersburg to visit the churches.

What random facts can you share about yourself?

I was vegan for 10 years, my birthday is on National Coffee Day, and I coached Girls on the Run for four seasons.
