As a Solutions Engineer at GeoMarvel, I specialize in bridging the gap between complex geospatial technologies and client needs. My role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative GIS solutions that enhance spatial data insights. I collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges, leveraging cutting-edge tools and software to create tailored solutions that streamline processes and drive efficiency.
I hold an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in GIS. After completing an internship with the National Park Service, I worked for a government contractor, where I was responsible for editing nautical maps.
Following this role, I joined Esri as a support specialist for government clients, eventually transitioning to the premium support team. During my time at Esri, I had the opportunity to assist a diverse range of customers, providing technical support across both desktop applications and enterprise-level solutions.
One of the most interesting roles I held was on the vegetation management team at Antietam National Battlefield for the National Park Service. Every day brought a new challenge, and I spent most of my time outdoors. Some days involved surveying the woods for declining ash trees, while others focused on trapping and relocating groundhogs from visitor centers. I frequently drove across the battlefield or hiked through the forest, identifying invasive plant species, removing them, and replacing them with native vegetation to preserve the area’s natural habitat.
I usually spend my free time working on projects in the garage or playing pickleball. Since I have finished up my last project of an electric dirt bike conversion, I now spend most of my time outdoors with my wife Maria and our dogs.
I would love to travel to Africa and go on a safari.
I have a pretty diverse background in machining and metal shop. I also took up blacksmithing for a couple years and had a fully operational forge.

I was drawn to GeoMarvel because I wanted to be part of a small, yet innovative team. The projects we undertake are at the forefront of GIS technology, and being able to collaborate daily with others who share the same passion for geospatial solutions was exactly what I was looking for.
