I’m a Senior GIS Developer at GeoMarvel. In this position, I’m responsible for creating GIS applications that will primarily run on the web. I develop these applications using popular development tools like JavaScript and Python.
As an undergraduate at Maryland, I worked as a Research Assistant on the ISS-CREAM experiment, helping assemble a cosmic ray detector that was installed on the International Space Station.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, with a concentration in GIS and Cartography, from the University of Maryland College Park in 2015. I’m currently working towards completing the GIS Masters Program at Maryland as a part-time student, with an expected graduation date in the Spring of 2020. My previous work includes my position as a Cartographer for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. And between 2016 and June of 2019, I worked as a GIS Analyst for Natural Systems Analysts Inc.
I spend my free time running and playing board games. A few favorites are Tzolk’in: The Mayan Calendar, Castles of Burgundy, and Splendor.
I can make a mean Liquid Nitrogen ice cream. Bring your own sprinkles.
If I could travel anywhere, I’d visit McMurdo Station in Antarctica.

The Tree of Life is a 2011 American experimental coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Terrence Malick and featuring a cast of Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Hunter McCracken, Laramie Eppler, Jessica Chastain, and Tye Sheridan.
GeoMarvel drew me in because I was interested in working on a team where I could put my existing GIS and spatial skills to good use, while honing those skills and integrating them with effective GIS application development. I love having access to so many opportunities to learn about GIS and software development from folks who are passionate about the industry and their clients.
