I’m joining GeoMarvel as a project manager, which means I’ll be working to keep projects on time, on task, and always moving forward. I’ll act as a liaison between GeoMarvel and our clients, and along with our team will help deliver success to each client.
I entered the University of Maryland as a Journalism student, but after two years decided it wasn’t for me and transitioned into the Business school, graduating with a Marketing degree. I was working in software for automotive retailers and really got into digital marketing and websites, which led to my start in the digital agency space. Working with smaller organizations has allowed me to wear a number of different hats, and ultimately I’ve found my place in project and product management.
It may not be the most interesting job, but the most fun I’ve had was working at a restaurant near the beach when I was 16. I couldn’t drive yet so one of my parents would take me there for my 7am shift every day, and then get me after 3pm. I think everyone should work in a restaurant or retail at some point in their life!
I began competing in track and field in the early 90s and that sparked a lifelong interest in endurance sports. I love to compete and try to challenge myself each year with different events: open water swims, ultramarathons, SwimRuns, triathlons of all distances, bike races. When I’m not putting time there, I enjoy trivia games around Baltimore, karaoke, and the movies.
Patagonia and Atacama Desert – I’ve never been to South America and there’s a lot of adventuring to do in these places!
Impossible question, but Jurassic Park.
Triathlon!
I used to co-host a radio show about running on ESPN Radio in Baltimore, I studied abroad in Australia, and I’ve done a Rim to Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon two times.
I’m excited to learn a new industry and platform! I’m new to the world of GIS, and I’m looking forward to working with our clients on their unique business needs.
