Exploring ArcGIS Excalibur

ArcGIS Excalibur

Transform your imagery and geospatial workflows with the many features and functionalities that ArcGIS Excalibur has to offer! This premium web-based imagery application for ArcGIS Enterprise enables users to search for, discover, analyze and share images with key stakeholders. ArcGIS Excalibur makes it easier than ever to generate structured observation reports to share with others.

ArcGIS Excalibur makes it easy for users to search for and discover specific areas of interest with the Imagery Catalog Search feature. Allowing users to search, preview, and queue images and metadata for further use. After choosing your area of interest, a list of usable images will appear for that area. Once the image of interest has been selected, there are many tools and capabilities that a user can manipulate to analyze and learn more about each image. These actions all take place within the Imagery Exploitation Canvas, which gives users the ability to view that same image in its native form, in a side-by-side split screen view, to simplify image analysis workflows.

Within the canvas users can manipulate their images with the Display Tool. This handy tool allows users to render images, add filters, and provides the ability to change band combinations, as well as DRA and gamma applications. The Exploitation Tools enable users to highlight key areas of interest by utilizing the Mark Up Tools, allowing users to draw directly on top of their images, as well as the ability to add text labels to identify specific mark ups. The Measurement Tool also proves useful for measuring specific areas or distances within an image.

After exploring your image of interest, you now have the ability to export that marked-up image to be utilized in a PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint presentation allows users to export the image, along with all of its linked metadata. Compile and publish imagery observation reports or analytics as dynamic layers to share with key stakeholders.
