As a Technical Project Manager for our Professional Services team, I will act as the bridge between the business and technical sides of our projects, ensuring we deliver products that everybody can be excited about.
I started out as a Civil Engineer, receiving my B.S. from UCLA and working in San Diego’s building industry before moving to Washington, DC to obtain my M.S. in Geography with a GIS certificate from George Washington University. I have since worked in emergency management, conducting natural hazard and climate risk assessments, and will occasionally return to GWU as an adjunct GIS instructor.
While in graduate school, I worked at a theater fabrication shop, helping to construct set pieces for DC’s theater scene. I picked up skills in carpentry, set painting, and even some welding, and worked on some really cool projects around the DMV, including a Netflix comedy special, and the King Tut exhibit at the National Geographic Museum.
For very different reasons — Australia, Antarctica, and Mexico City.
I enjoy most things outside, particularly running, biking, climbing, backpacking, and playing in local soccer leagues. Other than that, I organize within DC’s Mutual Aid network, and love reading, exploring the local music scene, and dabbling in various art media.
My family once raised ducklings in our laundry room until they were big enough to not be eaten by the bass in our neighborhood’s pond. I am named after my great-grandmother, who is an inductee in Wyoming’s Cowboy Hall of Fame. My birthday is the same day as George Washington’s (and Drew Barrymore’s!).

I am of the opinion that everything is interesting, and so joining a company that allows me to work on and be exposed to a variety of projects and industries while deepening my own knowledge and skillset in GIS is incredibly exciting to me.
