The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium, a nonprofit professional organization, is dedicated to fostering and supporting the GIS/LIS community throughout the state. This year, the Consortium held it’s 35th Annual Conference in Duluth, Minnesota from October 1–3, 2025. The conference featured keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, technical sessions, and special events—all tailored for GIS/LIS professionals and students eager to sharpen their skills and explore the latest innovations in geospatial technology.
GeoMarvel, a Bronze Sponsor for this year’s conference, was represented by Jon Nordling (CEO) and Carolyn Gamble (Associate Director of Services). Together, they held a session where they shared insights on the evolving landscape of Enterprise GIS modernization.
Their session titled “Modernizing Enterprise GIS in the Cloud: Patterns, Practices, and Real-World Lessons”, explored how organizations are leveraging cloud-based architectures to build more scalable, resilient, & efficient GIS environments.
